An Overview of Computer-Aided Translation tools for translators

The presentation includes an introduction to CAT tools, what they are and what they are not, together with live demonstrations of the tools, their main features, strengths, weaknesses, cost, inter-changeability of memories between systems. The session was followed by Questions and Answers as well as a general discussion of the use of CAT tools. The speaker touches on the matter of cost reductions for repetitions, and also discusses the type of work for which CAT tools are most suited.
