Professional Conduct and Ethics for Interpreters
This presentation outlines the importance of a code of professional conduct and ethics for interpreters in the many fields in which they work. It covers all aspects, including content and examples of some common breaches of conduct. Special emphasis is given to the need to maintain continuing professional development during an interpreter’s career.
Sue Leschen is a qualified Solicitor (non – practising) and a legal and commercial French Interpreter and Translator She is also an independent CPD trainer. She also sits on ITI’s Professional Conduct Committee as well as that of NRPSI.
She actively supports and believes in the need for professionally qualified, experienced and security vetted interpreters and translators.
She also has a special interest in professional conduct and ethics for interpreters and translators and writes and lectures (both in person and by webinar) on this subject.
