Introduction to Romanian-English Legal Translation
This video is an excellent fit for those practicing translation in this language pair as well as for those interpreters, who would like to acquire a new skill.
By popular demand, we proudly present this session on legal translation, tailored especially for Romanian-English language pair.
This video is a session structured around some of the main specialised translation problems between Romanian and English, particularly the lack of the direct equivalence. While many practice translation without any formal learning, a more structured approach can be a great help when faced with translation problems and give you confidence when dealing with client queries
This one-hour session will provide you with a rationale for solving some of the typical translation problems using strategies such as adaptation and cultural equivalence. This is a practical workshop, hence the focus will not be on theory as such (although some theoretical aspects are inevitable) but mostly on how to translate and research terminology.
The latter is particularly important given the lack of reliable specialised dictionaries for this language combination and how crucial it is to distinguish between reliable sources from unreliable ones.
This video is held in Romanian but the attendees will also need a good command of the English language to fully enjoy it.
