Successful copywriting

How do you achieve emotional engagement with your readers, so that they really pay attention to your writing and take the action you want them to take? Marketing and communications guru Ron Finlay will guide you through the copywriter’s toolbox in the course taking place during the week starting on 20th March.

In this series of webinars, you will learn:

  • how to adjust your tone of voice for different purposes
  • how to engage people emotionally through your writing
  • how to inspire them to respond to your words

It will give you a good grounding in the art of copywriting, with a lot of interaction, many examples, and some excellent tips for using strong copy for stronger marketing. Or the course will serve as a refresher if it’s a while since you learned your copywriting skills. .

Ron Finlay is an expert copywriter, with years of experience as a journalist, marketing man and PR guru. If you’re a professional translator or business writer, this course is the ideal way of learning the tricks of the trade from a master of persuasion.


Ron has more than 30 years’ experience in creative communications and was formerly chief executive of Fishburn Hedges, a top ten UK PR agency. Newspaper and magazine articles, web copy, social media posts, research reports, brochures, consumer leaflets, strategy documents, annual reviews – he’s written them all. To learn how to write attention-grabbing copy in any communications medium. To gain confidence in writing good copy.

Further, the webinar earns one hour of CPD (ATA: one point) which you can use to keep a record of your CPD.     Hello. I was keeping an eye on this course waiting to see if I could do it (I was in the middle of a couple of complicated projects), I was very busy this week and today when I finally have managed to try to enrol I found it was sold out ( nooooooo!!!!). Do you have any plans to repeat it at some point?

    • Dear Cruz – due its popularity we will repeat it, but not for several months at the earliest. I am talking to the trainer about it. Why not enrol for Clear Writing in April – different course but just as good although it tackles writing from a translator’s point of view rather than original writing.
