Corpus compilation and terminology management tools
This webinar gives an overview of how translators can benefit from employing specialised corpora when translating or dealing with terminology. It introduces basic concepts regarding corpora, such as what a corpus is and types of corpora, but it also illustrates the basic steps required to compile reliable corpora, both manually and with the help of some web-based tools, and some ready-made corpora. Finally, it focuses on possible corpora applications and management to enhance translation quality by means of different tools available on the Internet. This is a webinar on basic aspects of corpora management. No prior knowledge is required.
