Translating Tourism School (TTS) – delivered in Italian
The Translating Tourism School was born to combine two fields of study: tourism and translation. Considering the very few documents and courses on the integrated study of these two disciplines, the TTS aims to provide specific knowledge for those who already work in or are planning to enter the tourism translation sector, by offering useful tips and describing the best strategies for a more and more aware translation of tourist texts.
In detail, the course aims at defining the main features of translation in the tourism field. Starting from the fundamental definitions of the concepts used in the tourism sector, the course will focus on the translation problems posed by the industry, with concrete examples and strategies to deal with such problems.
This course received excellent reviews from previous attendees. Watch the video above to get a taste of the course for yourself.
