In this course you will learn about website localisation, translation and how to translate and localise websites to tailor the content to new markets and new target users. The lectures cover cultural adaptation, localisation testing and tools that you can use for your website localisation projects. You will also learn the basics of HTML, XML and XLIFF to be able to deal with different file formats. Finally, we will look into localisation of graphics and talk about working with direct customers and language service providers. The skills and knowledge gained in this course will help you specialise as a website translator and understand how the website localisation process works.

Content and learning objectives
The course consists of 42 lectures, for an estimated total of 4 hours of individual study. The lectures are divided into 9 sections, followed by an optional assignment. Some sections are also followed by quizzes that will test your understanding of the material.
